This policy explains what guest information the direct-booking website collects and how it is used to operate reservations.
These direct-booking documents are operational templates for Knife Lake Getaway and should be reviewed by the owner and, when appropriate, a qualified professional before broad public launch.
Information Collected
The booking website may collect guest name, email, phone, physical address, birthdate, guest counts, selected dates, selected property, reservation support notes, optional account password hash, payment status, Stripe identifiers, contact opt-in records, and technical records such as IP address and user agent when needed for security and proof of consent.
The website may also collect first-party visitor analytics such as page viewed, referring site, general traffic source, anonymous visitor/session cookie, browser/device type, browser time zone, and rough city/region/country location. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the visitor analytics file.
The website does not collect full card numbers. Card entry is handled by Stripe Checkout.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to create and manage reservations, process payments, send reservation email, verify contact permission, provide guest portal access, prevent fraud or conflicts, keep tax/accounting records, and operate the property.
Visitor analytics are used to understand which pages and referral sources help guests find the website and to improve the booking experience.
Guest information may be reviewed by owner/admin staff and service providers needed to operate the website and reservation process.
Service Providers
Stripe is used for hosted payment checkout and payment records.
Google Workspace and an Apps Script email relay are used for transactional email.
The website host and server infrastructure store the application data needed to run the site.
A limited IP geolocation lookup may be used to convert a visitor IP address into rough location fields for analytics; the website stores the resulting rough location rather than the raw IP address.
Security And Retention
The website uses HTTPS, Stripe-hosted card entry, password hashing for guest portal access, and encryption at rest for sensitive guest contact fields stored in the local application data file.
Reservation, tax, payment, and consent records may be retained for business, tax, legal, safety, and fraud-prevention needs.
Guests can contact Knife Lake Getaway to ask about correcting contact information or requesting deletion where deletion is not prevented by business, tax, legal, safety, or fraud-prevention requirements.
Children And Booking Accounts
The booking account is intended for the adult primary renter. Children may be included in the guest count, but children should not create booking accounts.
